Option 1 — In the app (instant)
- Open Nishkam and go to the Settings tab.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account & data.
- Tap Delete to confirm.
Your account is deleted immediately.
Option 2 — Without the app (by email)
If you no longer have the app installed, email an@theaighth.com with the subject "Nishkam account deletion" from the Google account you signed in with. We will confirm within 7 days.
You can also remove Nishkam's access yourself at any time at myaccount.google.com/connections → Nishkam → Delete all connections.
Delete some data without deleting your account
- Logout (Settings → Logout) clears your stored name and date of birth, and keeps your reading progress on the device.
- Clear app data (Android Settings → Apps → Nishkam → Storage → Clear data) erases all data stored by the app.
What is deleted
- Your profile name and optional date of birth
- Reading progress, streak, bookmarks and "Carry This" cards
- All preferences (guidance path, language, reminder time, font)
- Nishkam's access grant to your Google account (revoked)
What is kept
Nothing. Nishkam has no servers and no database — all of your data lives only on your device, and deletion erases all of it. There is no retention period. Your Google account itself is not affected; it is managed by Google.
